Selby Mining Memorial

We were chosen by Selby Town Council to erect a memorial to the Selby Coalfield. 

The memorial is proudly situated in the Selby Community Woodland at Bondgate, Selby.

It features half of an original winding wheel painted in the traditional colours of red and black, mounted on a red brick plinth. The top of the plinth and the surrounding paving is finished with sandstone slabs.

There are two memorial benches sited close by to provide a place for reflection and remembering.
